About Cuckoo Down Farm
Cuckoo Down Farm is set in beautiful Devon countryside near the World Heritage coastline at Sidmouth and its beautiful, safe beaches.
Enjoy a relaxing holiday in this stunning location: four beautifully decorated safari lodges, some with hot tubs, and two gorgeous yurts provide relaxed and easy glamping, designed with couples and families in mind.
Experience all the fun of the farm including ponies, chickens, campfires and 30 acres of unspoilt meadows plus Forest School activities in the three-acre oak and bluebell wood.
Accommodation Description
Blackberry safari tent is five metres (15ft) wide by nine metres (27ft) in length, with an additional 2.5 metre deep covered verandah across the front. It sleeps up to six people in two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. There is also a large living area which has a double wooden cabin bed, wood-burning stove, sofa and dining table with six chairs. Blackberry safari tent has its own hot shower. The covered verandah at the front has table, benches and chairs and faces south-west into wonderful sunsets. It also has its own wood-fired hot tub.

Why its great for families?
Children can play in the woods, dam the stream and build dens. There’s space for cricket, rounders, football, bike-riding and tree-climbing. There are also yoga classes and forest school sessions available to book on to.
There is plenty to do in the local area. Enjoy the World Heritage beaches of Sidmouth, Beer and Branscombe for cliff walks, swimming, boat rides, sandcastles, mackerel fishing and Devon ice cream
Explore the adventure gardens and bushcraft courses at Escot House, the stunning grounds and children’s play areas of Buxton Park, mountain biking on Haldon Hill and swing through the trees at Go Ape. Or there’s the kids’ favourite Crealy Adventure Park.
